The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
— Carl Rogers

Welcome to New Moon Hakomi! You've found the right place.

I'm guessing that you’re here because you’re feeling stuck.

Stuck in habitual and reactive ways of being.

Ways of being that take you away from, instead of toward, the life you want to live.

Here's my other guess: You're incredibly hard on yourself with a harsh inner critic.

I can help.

Help you move from a life habitual reactivity to a life of mindful choice.

From self-criticism to self-compassion,

from self-doubt to self-trust,

from confusion to clarity,

from stressed relationships to authentic connection,

and from perfection paralysis to effective action.

I'm Ketriellah, a Certified Hakomi Practioner and Personal Growth Coach.

Hakomi is a gentle, yet highly effective, method of mindful, embodied self-discovery and transformation.

What makes Hakomi different from other therapies or coaching methods?

Compassion: The bedrock of the Hakomi Method is compassion. All parts of you (even the parts that you reject) are welcomed and treated with respect, kindness and curiosity. When defences come up they are supported rather than overpowered. When the unconscious mind feels safe it is more likely to reveal itself. The Hakomi method supports you to work with yourself, rather than on yourself.

Body-Centered: There’s a well known saying amongst those of us who work with the body - the issues are in the tissues. Your body is an incredible source of wisdom. It stores emotional experiences and memories that are not accessible by your thinking mind alone. Learning how to listen to your body is one of the most powerful tools you can cultivate as a human being. Together we will study movement, gesture, voice, tensions, impulses and so on to tap into the body’s wisdom and and provide direct access to core transformation.

Mindfulness: According to Jon Kabat-Zinn, Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally. For close to 40 years the Hakomi method has been a pioneer in the use of mindfulness. Virtually the entire Hakomi process in conducted in mindfulness. This facilitates Hakomi techniques in accessing unconscious material quite rapidly, but safely.

Material adapted from Hakomi Institute, and Hakomi California.

Ketriellah is truly a wonder.

I have been to therapy for many years and tried a variety of styles (CBT, EMDR, DBT, etc) but nothing has felt as transformative as a Hakomi session with Ketriellah. She has provided me with practical strategies to help me prioritize and organize myself, as well as spiritual strategies to help me find my own way. Ketriellah has a gift and I feel so grateful to have found her. She is warm, comforting, and authentic and has a seemingly effortless way of bringing out the warm, comfort, and authenticity in me.
